Cubarral is a Colombian municipality located at the Meta department and that borders with Venezuela. Its economy is based mainly in tourism and agriculture and livestock sectors, with more than 2500 heads of cattle and diverse types of crops, launching the effort nowadays in organic cultivation, due to its importance on the last years. Among the tourist attractions the Catholic Temple stands out and was declared cultural heritage of the municipality due to its architectural beauty. You can also visit the Parque Nacional Natural Sumapaz, where you can go through routes and admire the natural brilliance of the rivers, lagoons, mountain ranges and find places to taste a variety of typical dishes or camp closeby. In July you can participate on the Festas San Pedrinas, with cavalcades, bullfights, handicrafts exhibitions, competitions and much more. There is also a competition of joropo (typical dance of the region) called El Cubarro de Oro, in couples, all over Colombia and even people from Venezuela comes to compete.
